About US
Fighting for Your Workplace Rights.
About the Founder:
Maricé Guzman is the founder of MGJustice, a plaintiff-side employment law firm dedicated to protecting workers’ rights and holding employers accountable in Florida and Georgia. She represents employees in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, harassment, wage issues, severance negotiations, and violations of federal and state employment laws.
Professional Experience
Maricé brings a unique perspective to her practice. Before founding MGJustice, she represented employers for several years at leading national law firms, where she advised private companies and municipalities on hiring, discipline, terminations, workplace investigations, compliance, and employment litigation. She handled all phases of litigation, from responding to agency charges and managing discovery to drafting dispositive motions and preparing cases for mediation and resolution. This experience gives her valuable insight into how employers evaluate risk, defend claims, and approach settlement—knowledge she now uses to advocate strategically and effectively for employees.
Most recently, Maricé served as Employment Counsel with the United States Department of Justice, where she advised senior officials on federal employment law matters, conducted investigations, drafted policies, and handled administrative and judicial proceedings before agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Merit Systems Protection Board.
Maricé also served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Jill Pryor of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta, Georgia. Her federal appellate clerkship provided unparalleled training in legal research, writing, and analysis under the mentorship of a federal judge at the highest court in the circuit.
